A photo is circulating on social media of a letter addressed to the ZRP seeking permission to hold a demonstration at 3 Allan Wilson Drive Milton Park in Harare, where they say <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Bustop_TV">Bustop TV</a> operates from.  The demo is in response to a picture that made fun of the president by putting his face on the body of the model who looks on at the newly crowned Miss Universe a photo that was tweeted by Bustop TV today.

In his lifetime, the man was always by Mugabe’s side and has been hailed as a symbol of loyalty who stood by the late national hero even during his later days of “ignominy” after his ouster from power in a coup in November 2017.
Prominent journalist, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Hopewell_Chin%27ono" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Hopewell Chin’ono</a>, contrasted Nyakurima to Presidential spokesperson <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/George_Charamba" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">George Charamba</a>. <a href="https://twitter.com/daddyhope/status/1177976751173095424" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Writing on Twitter</a>, with the pictures of the two juxtaposed, Chin’ono said:
<blockquote>On the left [Nyakurima] is the true definition of loyalty, this man is in almost every picture of Robert Mugabe. On the right [Charamba] is the true and consummate definition of disloyalty! People like @Jamwanda2 (George Charamba) can sell you as long as the price is right! Grace knew who was who!</blockquote>

Bustop TV satirist, Samantha Kureya, who is popularly known as Gonyeti, was abducted by masked gunmen from her family home in Mufakose last month.
Her captors forced her to strip n_aked and roll in a puddle of raw sewage in Crowborough while they severely assaulted her. The assailants told her that the assault had to do with a skit on civil servants that she had done a few days before the attack.
Gonyeti was left with an injury on her left leg that demobilised her for several days.

A Herald reporter, Nyore Madzianike, claims in an article that the fact that Samantha Kureya and her relatives have not made any follow-up with the police on the investigations into her abduction and beating, implies that the abduction was stage-managed.
Writing an article titled “Has comedienne’s case mojo Gone Yet?”, Madzianike says:
<blockquote>THE case in which Samantha Kureya, popularly known as Gonyeti, is claiming to have been abducted could soon crumble amid reports that the comedienne and her family have not made any follow-up on police investigations into the matter. There is strong suspicion that the alleged abduction on the night of August 22 was stage-managed for political expediency or to raise the stock of the controversial drama queen.
The 34-year-old made an initial report at Marimba Police Station on the night she claimed to have been abducted by “masked gunmen” from No. —– where she was staying.
Interestingly, no member of her family, including her mother, Miriam Mavhudzi (52), has made a follow-up to ascertain who could have been behind the said abductions.</blockquote>
Government officials have claimed that abductions of activist, opposition politicians, and journalists that have been on the increase in recent weeks are stage-managed or are the work of a “third force”.

The Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Zimbabwe, <a href="https://twitter.com/misazimbabwe/status/1167868864354385922">criticised </a>The Herald for writing falsehoods:

1. The docket has been transferred to Harare Central Law &amp; Order section 
2. Felistas was called in to give her witness statement on 27 Aug

4. Samantha’s own phone is not going through because it was damaged during the abduction

Herald Reporter Says Gonyeti Not Following-Up With Police Implies Stage Managed Abduction

Bustop TV comedian and political satirist, Samantha Kureya, who is popularly known as Gonyeti, has gone into hiding following her abduction and torture from her family home in Harare’s Mufakose high-density suburb by masked gunmen.
Gonyeti and her colleagues produced a skit last week depicting a landlady evicting her tenant, a policeman, for brutalising citizens during a demonstration in Harare. The skit reportedly brought her into trouble.
Speaking from her hospital bed a day after her torment, the 33-year-old actor said:
<blockquote>They started saying: ‘You mock the government and we have been monitoring you’. They told me to lie down and instructed me to start rolling on the ground.
They would instruct me to roll from either side and each time I did, I would get beaten. They started stomping on my back.
… They said: ‘If you report this case, we will put a bullet in your mother’s skull’. We are not safe in this country, it’s scary. If men like that come and abduct a woman like me with guns, it’s scary.</blockquote>
Zimbabwe’s junior information minister, Energy Mutodi accused Gonyeti of faking her abduction while government spokesperson, Ndavaningi Nick Mangwana characterised the spate of abductions as “black ops”.
Gonyeti revealed that during her ordeal, she was forced to strip naked and dring raw sewage water.

Zimbabweans on Twitter have retrieved and posted a photo of current Deputy Minister of Information Energy Mutodi, in Army regalia and have called for Zimbabwe Republic Police to arrest him.
The call comes after local comedians, Maggie and Gonyeti were arrested and fined this week for earing police uniform in a satire video circulated on the internet in 2016.

A street vendor who claims she voted for Zanu-PF in 2018, said that former President Robert Mugabe was better.
Translated:
<blockquote>We want to be free, “open for business”. But there’s no business. Many bigs shops are closed. We can’t even become prostitutes because prostitution doesn’t pay much. I can’t prostitute yourself for 50 cents, what will I buy? Nothing! We want the president to tell us what to do. We want a marketplace [to use to sell our things ] for which we can pay at the City Council.
We also want them to give us back Mugabe. He was better. We were better off. I have spent 37 years in Zimbabwe under the Mugabe rule. I never needed to run from the police for vending. Tsunami (Murambatsvina) came but we continued selling. Murambatsvina would target illegal residential areas and not vendors. Kombis would keep moving. Last week there was no movement of public transport, we spent our days at home. What do they want us to do? How shall we survive in a country in which we voted and won?</blockquote>
