The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of a 24-year-old man accused of killing his employer, a foreign national.

Kelvin Matambudziko Ndavambi allegedly killed 67-year-old Noor Hussein on 9 May 2026 while trying to rob him and his family in the Khumalo area of Bulawayo.

ZRP spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said on Thursday, 14 May, that the suspect was with an accomplice identified as Dhlamini.

The two allegedly went to the businessman’s home at night, armed with pistols and wooden planks. They attacked Hussein and strangled him with a towel in front of his family.

“The suspect and his accomplice ran away when the family raised an alarm, which prompted other family relatives to rush to the scene,” said Commissioner Nyathi.

The suspect was arrested on 13 May 2026 in Bulawayo’s CBD while trying to board a bus to Harare.

Meanwhile, police are appealing for information that could lead to the arrest of Dhlamini.
