Fastjet Slashes Airfares For Students Between Zimbabwe And Zambia

Essential Tools

Fastjet Zimbabwe has introduced a discounted student fare for flights between Harare and Lusaka to ease travel costs for students commuting between Zimbabwe and Zambia.

The new “Back-to-School Student Fare” was announced on 12 July 2025 and allows eligible students to book one-way tickets for just US$89.99, inclusive of all taxes and fees.

As part of the promotion, Fastjet is also offering a US$9 travel voucher that students can redeem for a future flight on the same route within six months of their original booking.

To qualify for the offer, students must be residents of either Zimbabwe or Zambia and must present valid student identification or a school acceptance letter during booking.

The promotional fare is available only through Fastjet’s Sales Shops and Airport Ticket Sales Shops located in Harare, Bulawayo, and Lusaka.

Each booking must match the student’s travel documents, and students are allowed one free itinerary change within the specified travel period, which runs from 12 July to 31 December 2025.

The offer includes a generous baggage allowance of two checked bags weighing up to 32 kilograms in total, along with a 7-kilogram cabin bag.

However, the fare is strictly for individual student travelers. Accompanying persons must book separately at standard rates, and the offer is not valid for group travel.

The ticket is non-refundable, non-reroutable, and does not permit name changes, although Fastjet has allowed GoFirm travel within the prescribed booking window.

Fastjet Zimbabwe has stressed that all fare rules are subject to availability and must be read in conjunction with its general Terms and Conditions of Carriage.

The airline retains the discretion to withdraw the offer at any time, particularly in cases of misuse.

With limited availability and strict conditions, Fastjet encourages eligible students to take full advantage of the offer before year-end.
