Four touts who were in a viral video where they were manhandling an elderly woman at Dulivhadzimu Long Distance Bus Terminus in Beitbridge were jailed for six months.
The Beitbridge touts who were jailed are Maxwell Kamuda (42), Lazarus Chingova (44), Michael Mlambo (35) and Worry Muranda. They were facing public nuisance charges and were convicted on their own plea of guilty by Beitbridge resident magistrate Mr Toyindepi Zhou. The quartet will serve an effective four months in jail after the court conditionally suspended four months of the 10 months imprisonment for five years.
The four were caught on camera harassing an elderly woman at Dulivhadzimu Long Distance Bus Terminus. The quartet handed itself to the police following a meeting between the police and intercity bus operators.
