Zimbabwe in 2020 received $130+ Million to help the beleaguered Southern African nation fight the COVID-19 pandemic from a number of well-wishers, Bloomberg reports.
This was revealed by the Finance Minister himself who revealed that there are some of the donors that donated money to help Zimbabwe fight the pandemic:
- $45 million from the U.K.,
- $60 million from the European Union
- $8 million from the U.S.,
- $13 million from the African Development Bank
- $10 million Arab Bank for Development in Africa,
Zimbabwe is yet to announce a comprehensive plan to roll out the COVID-19 vaccine while some countries have already made plans to acquire the vaccine. The UK last month pledged to vaccinate 3 million Zimbabweans.
