Bulawayo Bound Passenger Train Derails

A Bulawayo bound train from Chikwalakwala Border derailed in Shurugwi on Friday evening (11 October) injuring six.

Commented National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) spokesperson Nyasha Maravanyika:

“The six who were injured have been taken to the nearby Dorset Clinic where their conditions are being monitored. Investigations into the cause of derailment are still underway. We will avail more information soon,

Chikwalakwala border post is a Zimbabwe / Mozambique border close to Beitbridge. In Mozambique is referred to as Chicualacuala.
