Earlier today, an amateur video of a soldier assaulting 3 women went viral. The video shows evidence that there was (and may still be) abuse of ordinary citizens by the military as part of the crackdown that started on the night of 14 January 2019.
Here are some of the notable reactions made by Zimbabweans on Twitter:

That’s terrible. They know the AU or SADC will protect them. Its a western orchestrated demonstration as the junta led government say What about the killings, torture, abuse, rape & intimidation? Is it a western or 35.000 NGOs operating in the country who are doing that? Moment of madness, western conspiracy, let bygones be bygones. They will get away with it.Those who should condemn them they talk about sanctions.
This level of cruelty is just but terrible, what happened to humanity
I think Zimbabwe National Army is a professional organization and must do something to protect its name by punishing soldiers found on the wrong side and also monitoring that their uniforms is not being abused in the streets.
Quite a tragic scene whatever the case may be….Zimbabwe looks by all parameters a cursed nation….we certainly need to return to our Almighty God of Abraham for true salvation for he is above all.
Well a third revolution is the only solution because the state have initiated the terror on its people worse than what the Rhodesians did.
