The Standard Editor insinuates that former President Robert Mugabe was better than his successor, President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
According to the columnist, several things have changed for the worse since Mugabe was forced out of power through a military coup in November 2017. These include among others:
1. The prices of goods and services have gone up several times.
2. The introduction of the 2% tax of electronic transactions by Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube has been a burden on the transacting public.
3. The stipulation that import duty for cars should be paid in foreign currency, “If you have the currency to import, then you must have the currency for paying the duty”.
4. ‘Unreasonable traffic fines, pegged at a whopping $700 for some offences!
5. Virtually all civil servants now demanding to be paid in US dollars.
6. An unending doctors’ strike, or the government’s inability to end the strike.
7. Prioritising beer over health.
8. The President’s wife is assigned to deal with doctors to end the protracted strike.
He was 100% better. These two leaders have no direction.Count not Mohadi,he is snoring behind the 2.
I think its not mnangagwa or mugabe. Its the party ZanuPF. The President is surrounded by friends and family who they cannot tell them anything. Thats why things are not changing. The corruption remained ripe around the presidents. There were once the part and parcel of it. So now that they want to fix it, some people are saying they still want more. Its difficult to get rid of corrupt friends who you once worked with. Good lucky
The important thing is to give other political parties a chance to show themselves. There are so many political parties in Zimbabwe. I think if nkosana moyo’s party take over, all investors will be on their flight to zimbabwe, the following day. I know he doesnt have many supporters, but i think he is the one. He is educated, down to earth, not corruptible. Treat all tribes with dignity and respect. He is not a bully, not selfish, definitely he is the one
We need change when we say change we mean the part zanu pf has nothing to offer us
The problem I think was never Mugabe but the military. Remember the period of power sharing they would not salute MDC swearing in. Now we see the true colours of the Military eg Chiwenga and co, the brutality and how he lacks intelligence and sense. He is so trigger happy. Yes Grace said we would miss Mugabe I hate to say she was correct.
