A British man of Zimbabwean heritage is believed to have killed his wife and two daughters before leaving the UK.

The bodies of Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, and her daughters Natalie, 15, and Nala, five, were found on Monday after police forced entry to a house near Bedford. Officers were called when neighbours reported that the family had not been seen for several days.

Bedfordshire Police are looking for 45-year-old Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, also known as Mark. He left the country on a British passport via Heathrow Airport on Saturday.

Police believe the 45-year-old flew from London Heathrow to Zimbabwe on Saturday.

“We know that Mark Tshuma left the country on Saturday and is now believed to be in Zimbabwe,” said Det Insp Lee Martin.

He added that Bedfordshire Police are liaising with national and international partners to find Tshuma.

“We are urgently working to find and apprehend him, and would appeal to him directly to hand himself in.”

According to Companies House, Tshuma owns and runs a property firm called Nexus Trove Holdings from his address in Great Denham.

The company’s latest filings show it held just over £1m in assets at the end of 2024. Tshuma is the sole director, and the firm made a profit of £48,277 that year.

Rightmove records show the property was bought for £1,270,000 in May 2024. It has a swimming pool, four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) told the BBC it has not yet received any formal notice from Interpol about Tshuma’s possible presence in the country.

Police spokesperson Paul Nyathi said the force was aware of the case through media reports and had put measures in place to alert officers to any sightings.
