Roseanna Hall was crowned Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2026 on Saturday night at the Hippodrome in Harare, leading a record seven-queen line-up at the country’s largest pageant finale.
The 34-year-old psychology graduate from Shurugwi, a former Miss Zimbabwe Diaspora 2017 winner and judge at last year’s Miss Universe Zimbabwe, beat 29 finalists to take the top title.
She was crowned by outgoing titleholder Lyshanda Moyas in front of a full house, with 2019 Miss Universe winner Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa hosting the ceremony.
Organisers said the show focused on poise, leadership and advocacy. Judges praised Hall’s communication skills and community work during the Q&A and advocacy rounds.
A long-time model on the Zimbabwe and South Africa circuit, Hall campaigns for mental health and links her platform to her academic background in psychology.
Hall will represent Zimbabwe at the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico in November. She succeeds Sakhile Dube and has pledged to use her reign to promote mental health awareness and youth mentorship across the country.
Six other titles were awarded on the night. Brunnette Makanyiso was named Miss World Zimbabwe, Nicole Nyawera took Miss Supranational Zimbabwe, Ruvimbo Njomboro was crowned Miss International Zimbabwe, Virginia Tlou Nyambe won Miss Intercontinental Zimbabwe, Malaika Mushandu earned Miss Cosmo Zimbabwe, and Jemima Mandemwa secured the Top Model Zimbabwe title.
Pageant directors hailed the multi-queen format as a milestone that blends beauty with purpose and expands opportunities for Zimbabwean women on global stages.
The production drew praise on social media for its scale, though some commentators questioned aspects of the organisation and the final selection.
