LuckyBets, in partnership with the Premier Soccer League (PSL), will officially launch the LuckyBets Player of the Match award today, Saturday, 16 May 2026.
The award will run across all Castle Lager Premier Soccer League fixtures for the rest of the 2026 season.
It marks a major step in LuckyBets’ investment in Zimbabwean football, with the brand leading efforts to recognise and reward standout individual performances each matchday.
Under the new initiative, every PSL fixture will produce a LuckyBets Player of the Match. Each winner will receive a US$200 cash prize immediately after the final whistle.
“The winners will be determined through a structured and transparent voting process conducted by accredited media representatives covering each match,” LuckyBets said in a statement.
To support the rollout, LuckyBets will send official representatives to every stadium nationwide. They will ensure the award is presented on the pitch straight after each game, boosting the visibility and prestige of the prize.
The PSL and LuckyBets said the partnership reflects a shared vision to professionalise the domestic game, incentivise high-level performances, and improve the matchday experience for players, clubs and supporters.
The award takes effect from this weekend’s round of Castle Lager PSL matches.
