Mutare Man Jailed For Forcing Oral Sex On Man, Undressing Victim’s Girlfriend

A 54-year-old man from Dangamvura, Mutare, has been jailed for 15 and a half years after being convicted of indecently assaulting a man and a woman at his home last month.

The Mutare Regional Magistrates’ Court sentenced the man to 15 years for one count of aggravated indecent assault and six months for a second charge of indecent assault.

The incident occurred on 12 April 2026. The offender and a 23-year-old man were initially arrested for public drinking and released after paying a fine. After their release, the offender took the man and his 36-year-old female friend to his place of residence.

Once there, the offender ordered the 23-year-old to undress, suspecting him to be a woman, and then performed oral sex on him without his consent before chasing him away.

While the first victim was away, the offender ordered the 36-year-old woman to remove her clothes and demanded sexual intercourse. The act was interrupted when the first victim returned with the police. The offender was arrested immediately.
