Maswanhise Wins Young Player Of the Year And Golden Boot At Motherwell

Scotland-based Zimbabwe international Tawanda Maswanhise capped a standout season on Sunday night, picking up two major honours at Motherwell’s end-of-season awards.

Maswanhise was named Young Player of the Year and also won the Golden Boot after netting an impressive 22 goals across all competitions.

Since joining Motherwell in 2024, the 23-year-old has developed from a promising prospect into a clinical finisher.

Despite his prolific form, the overall Player of the Year award went to teammate Elijah Just, who also claimed the Players’ Player of the Season accolade after an impressive campaign.

Maswanhise’s performances have also earned recognition beyond the club. He was named in the PFA Scotland Premiership Team of the Year for the 2025/26 season and remains in contention for the PFA Scotland Premiership Player of the Season award alongside Just.
