A warrant of arrest has been issued against Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) pastor Chirashanye Magora (53) of Mucheke, Masvingo, after he failed to appear in court for routine remand proceedings.

The warrant was granted by Regional Magistrate Innocent Bepura, following Magora’s absence since 8 April 2026.

He had been released on bail by High Court judge Justice Sunsley Zisengwe, under conditions requiring him to report to Chikato Police Station every Monday and Thursday.

Magora is facing grave allegations of raping a 13-year-old girl on multiple occasions between December 2025 and February 2026.

According to court papers, the pastor allegedly lured the complainant into his room, locked the door, and raped her, threatening to kill her if she disclosed the abuse.

On another occasion, the girl reportedly awoke to find Magora on top of her. Despite her screams, he silenced her and warned her against speaking out.

The ordeal came to light on 16 February 2026, when the complainant fled to Chikato Primary School and confided in headmaster Stanley Zhonje, who immediately escorted her to the police.

Magora was subsequently arrested, but his failure to comply with bail conditions has now left his whereabouts unknown.

Sources told The Masvingo Mirror that only Magora’s wife has been attending church services since his disappearance.
