ZINARA Offers 100% Penalty Waiver On Vehicle Licence Arrears

Essential Tools

The Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) has unveiled a full 100% waiver on penalties accrued from overdue vehicle licensing fees, in a limited-time initiative running concurrently with the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) 2026.

The campaign, which runs from 20 April to 2 May, affords motorists an opportunity to settle outstanding licence fees without the burden of penalties. The exercise is designed to improve compliance while simultaneously alleviating the financial strain on vehicle owners.

Motorists may take advantage of the scheme at all ZINARA Licensing Offices, registered licensing agencies, and selected tollgates, although facilities along the Mutare–Plumtree Highway are excluded.

ZINARA confirmed that the waiver applies to payments made through its official licensing offices, accredited agents across the country, and designated tollgates, with the aforementioned corridor exemption in place.

Running under the theme “Be One in a Million”, the campaign forms part of broader activities tied to ZITF 2026, which officially opened in Bulawayo on Monday.

Motorists have been strongly encouraged to seize this limited window to regularise their vehicle licensing status.

  1. Overweight

Talking about vehicles – the best news from govt is the ban on heavy trucks and all trains using the Victoria Falls 100 year old bridge. It would be nice if Vic Falls City Council bans ALL trucks that weigh more than 20 tons fully loaded from using ALL roads in the City, especially all the residential roads.
