Kuda Tagwirei Donates US$100k To ZPCS Charity Fund

ZANU PF Central Committee member Kudakwashe Tagwirei has donated US$100,000 to the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) Commissioner-General Goodwill Trust Fund.

The donation was made during the annual charity golf tournament held at Masvingo Golf Club last Friday, far exceeding the initial fundraising target of US$10,000.

The event, organised by ZPCS Masvingo Officer Commanding Commissioner Nelson Chikwature, brought together prison officials, corporate partners and golfers in support of welfare programmes for children and spouses of deceased and underprivileged members of the service.

Funds raised from the tournament will go towards school fees, examination registration and general welfare support for the beneficiaries.

Speaking at the event, ZPCS Commissioner-General Moses Chihobvu said the Goodwill Charity Fund has, since its establishment in 2014, supported 453 beneficiaries across the country, mainly through paying tuition and examination fees.
