Preacher Trymore Muparinga has filed a police report against fellow preacher Dickson Nhumwa, accusing him of cyberbullying.

Nhumwa recently posted a video on social media, claiming that Muparinga misused church offerings to seduce women and buy alcohol.

Muparinga denied the allegations, saying Nhumwa was after a share of the funds he received from Wicknell Chivayo. Said Muparinga:

“I have never misused money for personal pleasures or to buy alcohol, as claimed.

“We once worked together in ministry, and he seemed to believe he was entitled to my earnings.

“He is simply a bitter man, and this time I have decided to take the matter to the police.”

Muparinga has hired a lawyer to help with the case, saying this isn’t the first time he has faced public abuse.

In his video, Nhumwa looked back on their time ministering together since 2007 along First Street, before moving to Masvingo.

He also expressed concern about Muparinga’s behaviour, suggesting it has reached a point where he needs support from the wider Christian community. Said Nhumwa:

“Mukomana (Muparinga), akunyanya kuti pese paaenda kunoparidza apihwa mari dzepa Altar odzishandisa kudhakwa ne kukicha.”

In the past, Muparinga has faced scrutiny in the Christian community after a photo of him holding a brown bottle of alcohol circulated online.
