A pedestrian believed to have been under the influence of alcohol was killed on Sunday night after being struck by a bus on the Harare–Mutare highway, in a crash that left 18 passengers injured.
The accident occurred at around 11 pm near the Reeb Business Centre. The man, whose name has not yet been released pending notification of his family, was reportedly walking in the middle of the highway when he was hit by a Mutare-bound General Bande bus, which witnesses allege was travelling at speed.
