NetOne Launches Reverse Calling, It Allows Calls When Airtime Balance Is Zero

Essential Tools

NetOne has launched a new feature called Reverse Calling, which allows subscribers to make a call even when they have no airtime. The call is then paid for by the recipient at the normal NetOne rates if they choose to accept it.

If the recipient declines the call, neither party is charged.

To make a Reverse Call, one method is to prefix the number you want to call with 164. For example, to call 0713 456 789, you would dial 164713456789. If including the country code, you would dial 164263713456789.

Alternatively, you can simply try to make a call when your balance is zero. NetOne will automatically offer the option for the recipient to pay for the call.

When the call is received, the recipient hears a voice prompt asking whether they want to accept and pay for it. If they accept, the call goes through, and they are charged at standard NetOne rates. If they decline, the call ends with no charges to either party.

The recipient of the call pays the standard NetOne call rates, and there are no additional fees for using the Reverse Calling service.

It is important to note that Reverse Calling only works between NetOne numbers; calls to Econet or Telecel numbers cannot be made using this service.
