FC Platinum have strengthened their squad ahead of the 2026 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season, signing nine new players, including former Highlanders midfielder Mckinnon Mushore and four foreign recruits.
Mushore, who spent last season on loan at Simba Bhora, joins the platinum miners on a free transfer following the expiry of his Highlanders contract on 31 December. The midfielder will reunite with coach Joel Luphahla, who recently moved from Simba Bhora to succeed long-serving mentor Norman Mapeza.
Other local additions include Garikai Dematsika from relegated GreenFuel, former Yadah defender Takunda Vareta, midfielder David Mangezi, and Tadiwa Muchenje.
FC Platinum have also strengthened their squad with international talent: Namibian Mbakondja Tjahikika, Ghanaian Emmanuel Dogbey, Malawian defender Maxwell Paipi, and Cameroonian goalkeeper Manfred Ekoi.
On the technical side, Luphahla has appointed Warren Mapanga as goalkeepers’ coach, Dilloan Chivandire for strength and conditioning, and Ashley Ndebele as head performance analyst and set-piece specialist.
