Five people who were brutally murdered on the night of 11 December 2025 at Plot 9, Ona Farm, Guruve, have been laid to rest, as relatives and communities struggle to come to terms with the tragedy.
The victims were buried at separate sites on Thursday, 18 December. At Ona Farm, mourners gathered to lay 66-year-old Grace Zvitsva and her 40-year-old son, Tendai Zvitsva, to rest.
Meanwhile, about 30 kilometres away in Chikwidibe, Grace Zvitsva’s daughter, 37-year-old Loice Chiringaushe, and her two-year-old son, Tatenda Chirenje, were buried on the same day. The fifth victim, five-year-old Takudzwa Kariva, was laid to rest in Murehwa.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have offered a substantial monetary reward for anyone with credible information leading to the arrest of 32-year-old Anymore Zvitsva, who is believed to have carried out the killings.
Police have linked Anymore Zvitsva to three additional murders in Zimuna Village, under Chief Bepura, where Pamela, Kudzai, and Tawanda Chipangura were killed in a separate incident currently under investigation.
He is also suspected of the brutal killing of a 55-year-old woman and a six-month-old infant at Farm 88, Nyakapupu, Guruve, on 18 December 2025.
