The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have arrested four suspects, including a juvenile, in connection with two separate stock-theft cases in Esigodini and Featherstone.
On 3 December 2025, police in Esigodini arrested Nation Moyo (31) and Josam Mukwananzi (45) following reports that a cow had been stolen from the grazing lands of Ntshamathe Village and slaughtered. Officers tracked the suspects’ getaway vehicle, a Toyota Rav4, leading to Moyo’s arrest.
During questioning, Moyo revealed the location of the slaughtered cow, where Mukwananzi was subsequently caught. A third suspect remains at large. The police recovered both the cow carcass and the vehicle.
In a separate incident on 4 December 2025, police arrested Nyarai Kaseke (40) and a 17-year-old male juvenile following a stock-theft case at Plot 4, Dunkik Farm, Featherstone.
Officers on motorised patrol intercepted the suspects along the Harare–Masvingo Road near the 90 km peg while they were seeking transport.
A search revealed a sheep carcass wrapped in a blanket and hidden inside a Monarch bag, alongside a 20-litre bucket containing offal.
The suspects later led police to the farm where the sheep had been stolen and slaughtered.
