The Warriors’ technical team, led by Head Coach Marian “Mario” Marinica, has added four players to the 51-man provisional squad ahead of preparations for AFCON 2025.

In a statement released on Wednesday evening, the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) said that following ongoing assessments and monitoring of player performances, the technical team identified the need to strengthen certain positions.

As a result, Ishmael Nyanhi, Wilfred Madzungu, Junior Jarrison Selemani, and Genius Hute have been added to the squad.

The additions bring the total number of players in the provisional squad to 55.

Zimbabwe will begin their AFCON campaign against Egypt on 22 December at the Grand Stade d’Agadir in Agadir, with kick-off at 7 PM CAT.

They will then play Angola on Boxing Day, 26 December, at the Grand Stade de Marrakech, before finishing their group stage matches against neighbours South Africa on 29 December, also in Marrakech.
