Scottland Football Club head coach Tonderai Ndiraya has parted ways with the club after his contract, which expired at the end of the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season, was not renewed.
Ndiraya guided Scottland to the Premiership title in the club’s debut season in the top flight. He joined the club after leading Simba Bhora to their first-ever title in the 2024 season.
The former Dynamos coach took over from Genesis Mangombe, who was released after steering Scottland to promotion from the ZIFA Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL) at the end of 2024.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, 26 November, Scottland announced that both the club and Ndiraya had mutually agreed not to extend his contract. The statement reads:
“Scottland Football Club wishes to confirm that the club and head coach, Tonderai Ndiraya, have reached a mutual agreement not to renew his contract, which concludes at the end of this season.
“We would like to express our sincere appreciation for his commitment, professionalism and service during his time with the club.
“His contribution and dedication to the team have been highly valued, and we extend our gratitude for the role he has played in the growth and development of our players.
“He led Scottland to a historic league title on the debut Premier Soccer League season, earning us a ticket into the CAF Champions League.
“We wish him great success in his future endeavours, and we are confident that he will continue to excel in his coaching career.”
