Warriors Take On Qatar In Friendly Match

The Zimbabwe national football team, the Warriors, are set to take on Qatar in an international friendly on Monday, 17 November, at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:30 PM CAT.

This will be head coach Marian Marinica’s second game in charge of the Warriors. In his first match, Zimbabwe lost 3-1 to Algeria last Thursday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Qatar are a tough challenge, currently ranked 52nd in the world, over 100 places above the Warriors.

The match is part of Zimbabwe’s preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco next month.

Reports of unrest in the Warriors’ camp emerged after the Algeria match, but the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has since reassured fans that all is well ahead of the Qatar game.
