Zimbabwe has extended operating hours at the Victoria Falls Border Post to a 24-hour schedule, according to an Extraordinary Government Gazette published on Thursday.
The border post, previously open from 6 AM to 10 PM, will now operate around the clock with immediate effect.
The changes are outlined in General Notice 2265A of 2025, issued under the Immigration Act and signed by Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Permanent Secretary Raphael Faranisi.
Victoria Falls is one of the country’s busiest ports of entry, and the decision is expected to enhance tourism, facilitate trade, and improve the overall flow of traffic between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
The announcement comes ahead of Friday’s meeting between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his Zambian counterpart, Hakainde Hichilema, in Harare for the inaugural session of the Zambia–Zimbabwe Bi-National Commission.
