Three Killed As Scania Truck Rear-Ends Honda Fit On Bulawayo–Beitbridge Road

Three people died on the spot after their Honda Fit was rear-ended by a Scania haulage truck while giving way to other motorists at a junction.

The incident, confirmed by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) on Thursday, occurred at the 22-kilometre peg along Bulawayo–Beitbridge Road on Wednesday. All three passengers in the Honda Fit died at the scene of the accident.

In a separate incident, ZRP Chinhoyi is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred at the 99-kilometre peg along Harare–Chirundu Road on Wednesday.

Police said that an unknown man was struck by an unidentified vehicle and died on the spot, while the motorist failed to stop.
