Dynamos were held to a 0-0 draw at home on Sunday as they faced Triangle in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) clash at Rufaro Stadium.
DeMbare struggled during a lacklustre first half, with Triangle dominating play in search of an opening goal.
The tide turned in the second half following the introduction of Denver Mukamba in the 50th minute, with Dynamos creating several promising chances, but they failed to find the back of the net.
The match ended in controversy as referee Thembinkosi Sibanda came under intense scrutiny.
Dynamos players confronted the official over additional time decisions, prompting some fans to throw missiles onto the pitch and block the referee from leaving.
Sibanda and his team of officials had to be escorted off the field by the police canine unit.
Despite the stalemate, Dynamos moved up one place on the PSL table but remained in the relegation zone, sitting 16th with 29 points—three points shy of safety.
The draw ended the Glamour Boys’ four-game winning streak, though they created clear chances, only to be denied by Triangle’s disciplined defence.
Triangle, aiming for a mid-table finish, also threatened at times but lacked the final touch to secure a victory.
The visitors maintained their 12th-place position on 32 points, keeping hopes of a top-half finish alive.
Dynamos now face a crucial away fixture against city rivals CAPS United in their next outing as they continue their fight for survival, while Triangle will sit out the next round as their scheduled opponents, Simba Bhora, compete in the CAF Champions League.
