The Young Warriors must beat Eswatini today, Saturday, to keep their hopes of progressing to the next stage of the TotalEnergies CAF Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations 2026/COSAFA Qualifiers alive, currently taking place in Harare.
Kickoff is at 3 pm at Ngoni Stadium in Norton.
Zimbabwe lost 1-0 in their opening match against Mozambique on Thursday, while Eswatini suffered a 3-0 defeat to Comoros in the other Group A fixture.
With only the group winners guaranteed a spot in the semi-finals, the Young Warriors must secure victories both today and on Monday against Comoros to stay in contention.
After Matchday One, Zimbabwe sits third in the group. Comoros leads on goal difference, with both Comoros and Mozambique on three points.
Comoros and Mozambique will face off in a top-of-the-table clash at The Heart Stadium at midday.
Young Warriors coach Thulani Sibanda remains optimistic, saying the team can still turn things around with the support of the home fans. Said Sibanda:
“We are not yet out, we still believe. We thank the supporters very much for their support and we ask them to continue. We still believe. We are not yet out. We still can move forward.”
