Ten Chinese Nationals Arrested In Harare Over Cocaine Use

Ten Chinese nationals who were arrested in connection with a drug bust in Newlands, Harare, appeared for initial remand at the Harare Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

The arrests followed a police raid prompted by a tip-off about all-night parties being held at 60 Knightsbridge Road, Newlands.

According to the NPA, the accused were found sniffing cocaine using a golden playing card. Police recovered cocaine, benzodiazepam, and methamphetamine during the raid, with the substances valued at more than US$1,060.

The accused were named as Huang Zhen (39), Yu Hefe (35), Dong Yunmel (27), Yang Wanwan (29), Wu Yuejun (46), Yang Qin (29), Fang Yue (36), Sun Jie (36), Yao Wenming (40), and Li Zhongju (31).
