Scottland Football Club has confirmed that the Vietnam Stand at Rufaro Stadium will remain reserved for Dynamos supporters during Saturday’s highly anticipated Harare Derby against Dynamos on MatchDay 27.
The club said it engaged with its 150,000 social media followers ahead of the fixture to gauge opinions on the allocation of stands and announced the verdict following feedback.
Scottland fans have been directed to occupy the City End stand, while Dynamos supporters will retain their traditional spot in the Vietnam Stand.
The question of which stands fans would occupy arose because Scottland is the home team while Dynamos are the visitors.
Scottland’s Organising Secretary, Nesbert Bako, said the club respects long-standing traditions, adding that even as the home team, Scottland would not seek to alter Dynamos’ occupation of the Vietnam Stand. Said Bako:
“We respect tradition and tradition is that Dynamos supporters occupy the Vietnam stand at all times.
“We are NOT going to change that even though we are the home team.
“So we urge Scottland FC fans to occupy the City End stand on Saturday.”
“Let’s all enjoy the game and leave players to battle for three points on the pitch.”
The club also announced the gate charges for the derby. Tickets for the Rest of Ground stand are priced at US$5, the VIP Grandstand at US$10, and VIP Bucket Seats at US$20.
Access to the VVIP Pavilion will be strictly limited to PSL VVIP cardholders or those with PSL invitations.
