Bulawayo Metropolitan MP Nomvula Mguni had an unfortunate afternoon after thieves broke into her car and made off with cash and personal belongings at a popular highway stop.
The 62-year-old legislator had parked her Honda Fit at Rera Leisure Centre near Snake World along the Harare-Bulawayo highway for a quick refreshment break around 3 PM. She locked the vehicle with a remote and left her handbag inside.
After enjoying her meal, she headed to a local hotel only to discover that her cash, laptop, handbag, power bank, purse, bank cards, national ID, and Parliament of Zimbabwe ID card were all missing.
The case has since been reported at ZRP Whitehouse Post under RRB 6499339. Police are now investigating the theft.
