ZERA Extends Expiry Date For 2021 Fuel Import Licences

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has extended the expiry date of fuel import licences issued in 2021 to 15 January 2022 from 31 December 2021.

In a public notice, ZERA said the extension of the deadline was done to ensure that that there are no disruptions in the supply of fuel.

However, after the 15th, no company will be allowed to import fuel without a new license for 2022 and there will not be any exemptions. Read the notice:

EXTENSION OF EXPIRY DATE OF 2021 FUEL PROCUREMENT (IMPORT) LICENSES

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) hereby notifies holders of fuel procurement licenses issued in 2021 that the expiry date has been extended to Wednesday, 15 January 2022 from 31 December 2021 to ensure that there are no disruptions in the supply of fuel.

Please be advised that after 15 January 2022 no company will be allowed to import fuel without a new procurement license for 2022 and no exemption letters will be issued to any company.

Please be advised that the qualification requirements for procurement licences fees for 2022 provided in the ZERA Public Notice issued on 21 December 2021 remain applicable.
