SADC Youth 'Concerned And Worried' Over Makomborero Haruzivishe's Conviction
The Southern Africa Youth Forum (SAYF), a Regional Coordinating Platform for Youth in SADC has said it is worried over the conviction of Makomborero Haruzivishe.
Haruzivishe was convicted on charges of resisting arrest and inciting public violence and faces a possible 20 years in jail. He will be sentenced on Tuesday 6 April and his lawyer is expected to make litigation arguments before sentencing.
In a tweet, SADC Youth said it was concerned over the conviction of Makomborero Haruzivishe and called on President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government to work together and listen to young people’s views. The tweet reads:
