Zimbabwe Records 5 COVID-19 Deaths In 5 Days

Zimbabwe has recorded 5 COVID-19 deaths in the past 5 days. This was revealed in an update that the Ministry of Health shared that on 26 and 24 March there were no COVID-19 deaths recorded and on 23 and 25 March 2 deaths were recorded on each day while one death was recorded on 27 March 2021.

The update also stated that as of 26 March 2021 there were 33 hospitalised COVID-19 cases countrywide. Said the Ministry in the update:

As of 26 March 2021 @1500 hours. There were 33 hospitalised case. Assymptomatic 14, Mild to moderate 16, 1 severe and 2 in Intensive Care Units. (Parirenyatwa and UBH did not report)

The report also noted that yesterday’s death was recorded in Harare, which has recorded 519 deaths since the onset of the virus on 20 March 2020.
