30 658 Frontline Workers Vaccinated So Far - Govt

Over 30 thousand frontline workers have been vaccinated in Zimbabwe so far according to the Ministry of Health and Child Care. This was contained in an update that stated that 2688 frontline workers were vaccinated today and the total number of workers who have been vaccinated since Thursday 18 February 2021 is 30 658.

The report also noted that 146 cases of the country’s 1108 actives COVID-19 cases were hospitalized:

As of 3 March 2021 @1500 hrs, there were 146 hospitalised cases, Asymptomatic 65, mild to moderate 59, severe 15 and 16 in intesnive care unots.

The report also noted that 4 of today’s 5 deaths were recorded in Harare while one of the COVID-19 deaths recorded today were recorded in Bulawayo.

Meanwhile, the government is set to get 984 000 AstraZeneca vaccinations between March and May 2021 from the COVAX scheme according to Global Vaccination Alliance
