Tanyaradzwa ‘Tanya’ Muzinda, a young talented Zimbabwean female motocross rider has been nominated for the prestigious International Children’s Peace Prize 2020.
The winner of the award for junior sportswoman of the year at the 2015 edition of the Annual Sports Awards announced the development via her Twitter account this Wednesday. She said:
Happy to be Nominated for the Prestigious International Children’s Peace Prize 2020l am humbled to be able to inspire so many people that see my work and message.
The International Children’s Peace Prize is awarded annually to a child who has made a significant contribution to advocating children’s rights and improving the situation of vulnerable children such as orphans, child labourers and children with HIV/AIDS.
Tanya this year challenged the Zimbabwean leadership to shun corruption which she said had buried the dreams of many girls and boys in the country.
She is also known for her humanitarian works which include paying fees for vulnerable students and fundraising for orphans.
