NetOne To Close Shops On July 31

State-owned mobile network operator (MNO) NetOne will close all its shops on Friday 31 July 2020, the company said in a statement.

The shops will be reopened on Monday, thereafter on Wednesday and Friday, for only two hours. The statement read:

Please be advised that we are closed for operations on the 31st of July 2020. Any inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted.

Shops will reopen on Monday from 9-11 am. Please note that the opening of shops on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 2 hours will continue until further notice. Kindly note that the two hours is meant to primarily serve dealers.

This comes after security forces on Thursday cleared people off streets of the capital Harare and forced shops to close, a day before planned anti-corruption protests by some political activists.
