IPEC Shuts Down Offices For 'Deep Cleaning & Disinfection' Until August 3

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF IPEC OFFICES

This notice serves to inform all clients and stakeholders that the Insurance and Pensions Commission Offices at 160 Rhodesville Avenue, Greendale and at Kingston House, corner Leopold Takawira/Kwame Nkrumah Avenue in Harare have been temporarily closed from 30 July 2020 to 03 August 2020.

The measure is meant to necessitate deep cleaning and disinfection of the offices in compliance with section 6 (a and b) of Statutory Instrument 174 of 2020, Public Health (COVID-19 Prevention, Containment and Treatment (National Lockdown) (Amendment) Order, 2020 (No. 14).

While the Commission had already scaled down its operations from the end of March with the majority of staff working from home, it facilitated the testing of all employees in the interest of safety and the PCR results for one of the employees have come out positive for Covid-19.

The Commission is rendering all the necessary support to the affected employee who is asymptomatic and is self-isolating at home.
