'Mutodi's Axing Meant To Entertain Zimbabweans & Make Them Lose Focus'
Prominent journalist and government critic, Hopewell Chin’ono says Zimbabweans should not be focused on the sacking of former Information Deputy Minister Energy Mutodi, but rather on the man who appointed him and his continuous errors of judgement, President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Mutodi was fired on Wednesday evening after a string of indiscretions since his appointment in 2018.
The final straw seems to have been his distasteful tweet on three MDC youth leaders, mocking their torture by suspected State agents and calling them p_ostitutes.
Chin’ono said Mutodi’s axing is a sideshow meant to entertain citizens and make them forget Mnangagwa’s incompetence, corruption and clansmen nepotistic appointments. Posting on Facebook, Chin’ono said:

Focus on the man who appointed him and his continuous errors of judgement which underpin and defines his Presidency.
Terrible and ruinous decisions that gave birth to Mnangagwa’s clansmen like Mutodi and Obadiah Moyo!
We have many Mutodis in Mnangagwa’s government due to his Clansman style of appointments and ruling, instead of leading.
He runs a corrupt and LOOTING enterprise!
Don’t be fooled, Mutodi was always a clown as you can see in this video, we want the system to go not small fish like Mutodi!
This is a side show to entertain us and try to make us forget about the real issues of a decaying economy, Mnangagwa’s incompetence, corruption and clansmen nepotistic appointments!

We still have Obadiah Moyo, another of Mnangagwa’s clansmen who is useless and corrupt!
We have 3 youth leaders who were abducted and sexually abused in the crudest of ways!
