West End Medical Clinic Suspends Surgical operations

A privately-run hospital in Harare, Zimbabwe’s capital, West End Medical Clinic, has suspended surgical operations with immediate effect due to the unavailability of stocks and sundries.

In a memorandum issued on Monday, March 16, 2020, addressed to The Surgical Society of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Anaesthetic Association, and The Zimbabwe Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Head of Hospital Dr A. Vhumisai wrote:

Due to the unavailability of adequate stocks and sundries in our theatre and hospital, all elective bookings have been suspended immediately.

Once the stocking levels have improved you will be advised.

  1. It will take time for people to realize that there are two distinct organizations namely West End Medicare(Clinic) and PSMI West End Hospital
