Founder and leader of the Family of God Church, Reverend Andrew Wutaunashe said there is no debate on the legitimacy of President Emmerson Mnangagwa and urged the MDC to accept that.
Wutaunashe made the remarks while introducing members of the Inter-Denominational Council of Churches, a grouping that brings together leaders of some indigenous churches during a meeting with Mnangagwa on Monday. He said:
We also call upon opposition parties, particularly the MDC, not on political partisan basis, but on concern as citizens of Zimbabwe and on concern as church leaders who represent millions of people, to recognise the President of Zimbabwe openly, to accept the findings of the Constitutional Court as a respect for our Constitution and institutions and on top of that, if dialogue is wanted, let it proceed from a place that respects our institutions.
The MDC led by Nelson Chamisa has hitherto refused to accept Mnangagwa’s legitimacy, claiming that the ruling ZANU PF party, State institutions, and the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC), connived to rig the presidential election in the latter’s favour.

Nice 10 roomed house, Gold Rolex watch, 30″ curved screen TV, full-on Premium DStv, Toyota Fortuner for you and a Merc for your wife, and a SUV for each of your kids. How blind you must be to not see the gross man-made poverty and mess this country is in, and then to think that we should blindly accept ED/ZanuPF as the legitimate man in charge.
