Khupe's Deputy Under Fire For Being 'An Overzelous ZANU PF Fanatic'

MDC-T vice president Obert Gutu has come under from the party’s youths for his Twitter posts seemingly celebrating the brutal assault of MDC supporters by police.

Speaking to NewZimbabwe.com, MDC-T youth spokesperson, Alfred Dzirutwe, revealed that Gutu could be brought before the party’s Standing Committee for disciplinary action. Said Dzirutwe:

The actions of the vice president of MDC-T have left me as the youth assembly spokesperson to approach the Standing Committee to have him disciplined for his wayward behaviour where he has become an overzealous Zanu PF fanatic.

He has clearly moved from being a democrat if ever he was, to supporting the brutal authoritarian regime which has no regard for basic human rights.

Gutu has over the past several months been using microblogging site Twitter to mock his erstwhile colleagues in the MDC led by Nelson Chamisa.

When police brutally dispersed MDC supporters in Harare CBD recently, Gutu argued that the police violence, which left some passersby seriously injured, was justified, labelling MDC supporters terrorists.
