Jaure Outlines Warriors Strategy To Avoid Setback In Lesotho

Captain of the locally-based Warriors squad, Partson Jaure, has challenged his colleagues not to underestimate Lesotho ahead of the decisive second leg of the 2020 African Nations Championships (CHAN) set for Maseru this Sunday.

Speaking to reporters in Harare on Tuesday, Jaure said ideally, the Warriors would want to grab an early goal and then defend in numbers. He said:

In my view, we need to score an early goal and then close shop. We have to make sure they don’t score, so we need to defend to the last minute.

Zimbabwe beat Lesotho 3-1 in the first leg played here last month. Prince Dube scored twice and Wellington Taderera scored the other goal.

CHAN is a version of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) but designed exclusively for home-based players.
