Chamisa Salutes Tsvangirai As “An Outstanding African Statesman”

MDC president Nelson Chamisa on Saturday hailed his predecessor, the late Morgan Tsvangirai as a Democrat who gave his all for a better Zimbabwe.

Chamisa expressed his sentiments through his Twitter handle where he posted:

Today we remember a Democrat who gave his all to all for a better Zimbabwe. We’re in Buhera at Dr MT’s rural home in memory of an outstanding African statesman, a great leader, a revolutionary, veteran trade unionist and humble family man whose legacy we forever cherish. Salute!!

Tsvangirai died on February 14 last year in South Africa where he was undergoing treatment for a cancer ailment.

He was buried at his rural home in Humanikwa village where his memorial service will be held on Saturday (today).
