The new US Embassy in Harare was officially opened yesterday. In his speech, US Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Brian Nichols said that the day was a day for optimism, renewed commitment, and celebrating friendship. He also said that the Amerian people looked forward to the ever-deepening relationship with Zimbabwe. Below are highlights from the event:
