Netball Team Leaves For Uganda For A Fully Funded Friendly Match

The Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services announced that the Government has fully funded the friendly match between Zimbabwe senior netball squad and Uganda. The Ministry’s twitter account informed that:

The  Zimbabwe senior netball squad, Zimbabwe Gems leave for Uganda tomorrow on Gvt fully funded friendly matches in preparation for the Netball World Cup that will be held from 12-21 July 2019 at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England.

This comes a few days after Zimbabwe Netball Association (ZINA) launched a crowd funding initiative for the Zimbabwe Netball Team to attend the World Cup tournament. The crowd funding was motivated by a YouTube video which reflected on the sorry status of conditions the team was exposed to during camping and training in Mbare.
