Air Zimbabwe Engineers Investigating The Cause Of Engine Malfunction

Engineers at Air Zimbabwe have launched investigations to establish the cause of an engine malfunction. The malfunction resulted in a “brief” tail pipe fire on its Boeing 767-200ER on its way from Johannesburg, South Africa, to Harare on Sunday night.

The plane however landed safely at Robert Gabriel Mugabe INternational Airport.

This is worrying considering that on Friday Air Zimbabwe’s Harare-bound flight hit birds mid-air last Friday, resulting in sparks from the engine.

Air Zimbabwe has since announced that normal services are expected to be affected as the aircraft is attended to, and passengers would get travel updates.
