Elias Mudzuri Moans Death Of Democracy In MDC, Vows To End It 'Soon'

Former Harare Mayor and MDC vice president Elias Mudzuri have bemoaned the death of democracy in his party.

Mudzuri claimed that a dictatorship has emerged in the MDC with the will of the majority being routinely ignored. Mudzuri vented his frustrations on Twitter where he said:

Regrettably, democratic processes which should make the MDC a better alternative to Zanu(Pf) have become mere formalities tainted by uncivil tendencies.

The will of the majority is routinely circumvented to produce undemocratic outcomes. We have to put an end to this mess. Soon!

Mudzuri has been touted as a potential challenger to incumbent party president Nelson Chamisa for the presidency at the Congress set for next month.

However, reports claim that Chamisa has developed cold feet over holding the Congress fearing a loss to his rivals. Chamisa has decided on an out of congress settlement, ZANU PF patriots having tweeted:

Nelson Chamisa pees on democracy as he postponed MDC congress to 2020‼️

Scared of Mwonzora, Chamisa and his VPs opted for an outside congress negotiated position. Kupanana zvigaro.
