ED Ally, Mukupe Calls For End To Political Intolerance

Former Harare East legislator and Deputy Minister for Finance and Economic Development, Terence Mukupe, has called for an end to political polarisation in both the ruling ZANU PF party and the opposition MDC.

Mukupe, who is considered an ally of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, said the constitutions of both parties are faulty and should be overhauled.

Writing on Twitter, Tuesday, Mukupe said:

Ku (In) MDC if you dream of contesting Nelson you are labelled Zanu PF, in Zanu PF show interest in their current Provincial openings you are labelled G40.

Let’s open up the democratic space starting by an overhaul of both party constitutions so we can have a truly Democratic Zimbabwe.

  1. Fellow countrymen, political intolerance just like unbridled corruption in party and state ranks, is just as self destructive tool and a major cause for underdevelopment not only of Zimbabwe but Africa as a whole.
